White Rock Mountain & Shores Lake Area, Franklin County, Arkansas

In the distance: White Rock Mountain shortly after sunrise.

My daughter, Karina and I recently drove up to White Rock Mountain, in Franklin County, Arkansas.  White Rock Mountain is a real treat, the view is gorgeous.  According to the Forest Service’s flyer, the elevation is 2,260 feet.  White Rock Mountain was named so because the appearance of the lichen on the bluffs from a distance.

The 360° panorama below will give you a taste of the view from atop White Rock Mountain.  For you photo geeks out there, it was created by stitching 85 photos together, and when it was all said and done, I ended up with a 200 megapixel photo!
